Running in a giant circle is... surprisingly satisfying when you need to motivate yourself to finish a distance and you're pushing yourself to run faster than you usually do. I was supposed to do 4 reps of 400 yards. And as you can see, I almost did that. I had a really bad side cramp at the end of the last round (surprised? not at all), and so I gave up before the end. Sad. But hey, all effort is good effort at this point.
Lauren and Chris and Noah joined me for this particular run, which made it the more bearable to do. And Tag, my lovely, ridiculous collie, enjoyed sprinting back and forth across the infield and trying to knock us down.
The point of sprints (as I understand it) is to help raise my endurance over long distances with short distance speed intervals. I'm interested to see how the speed training effects my running in the long run. Which... I suppose... means I need to keep doing it.
