Sometimes keeping a schedule is hard. And sometimes technology really hinders you more than it helps. For instance, this week I thought I had my run on Sunday, a workout yesterday (that I did today) and sprints tomorrow.... and then I updated the app and in fact, no, I have 3 MORE short runs to do this week... so weird. I think the app is still confused because I skipped a week. Sigh.
And it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow.
Well, in the name of consistency and not to overdo things to much, I will do a run tomorrow, if there's a break in the rain. Otherwise, I'll run Saturday... and for sure I'll slip one in Sunday.
I did another Nike + Training Club workout this evening. It felt like a zillion sets of different kinds of lunges (ugh) interspersed with boat-style crunches and burpees. My abs and legs are going to be so sad tomorrow! On the bright side, I convinced Noah to do most of the workout with me. He gave up after the thousandth set of lunges, though.
I'm surprised at how enjoyable I'm finding these workouts. They're varied enough (in spite of the million lunges) and easy to follow along with. And since I'm doing them in the comfort of my own home, I feel less ashamed when I can't keep up or go as deeply into a push-up as I'd like to be able to. I'll get there eventually.
